Designed
by F5D freak F. Lorrain and I. Wautelet, in Belgium, the
Jibe II (J²) is an evolution of the earlier J1 with a
similar wing shape but bigger wingspan, higher aspect ratio and a new airfoil.
The fuselage design is completely new with a much smaller frontal area and a
more square like section. Another obvious new feature of the J2 is it's cross
tail which has been designed for increased robustness and easy perfect
positioning during the assembly.
In 2008 the Jibe² has received a layup update to adapt the
airframe to the new F5D LiPo rules. The wing is now built with a heavy and
extremely strong carbon skin which gives it extreme stiffness for even faster
flight and crisper controls. The fuselage comes in a composite Kevlar/carbon
lay-up
