The Salto H101 was designed as a pure aerobatic glider by Ursula Hanle, widow of former Glasflügel director and designer Eugen Hanle. Construction of this single seater 13 meter glider was based the H-30, and the standard Libelle. The Salto was built so several parts of the Libelle could be exchanged. It used shortened Standard-Libelle wings and had trailing edge airbrakes. Fuselage was a sturdy all glass construction with a fixed wheel. V-tail and a side opening canopy. First prototype flew in 1971 and became since a rarity.

This Salto H101 is a really nice 1:3.4 semi-scale reproduction and comes as an all molded kit and is highly finished. This model is the 15.5m version with the long wings.

It is well suited for aerotowing, electric conversion or slope flying and pure aerobatics, it will do well on a good thermal day. Building and flying require some skill, thus the designation for intermediate pilot.

The kit comes completely finished, besides radio gar installation. The wings are hollow moulded, ailerons and flaps are live hinged, and airbrakes are fitted.
Construction is glass/rohacell sandwich wing skin with a sturdy carbon D-box reinforcement for additional stiffness and bottom of wings are painted in blue for better visibility.
Fuselage is all glass with a high gloss finish. A fixed landing gear is installed. The clear plastic canopy is fitted to the fiberglass tray, a moulded seat is completing the cockpit.
All what's required is your radio gear. You will need 4-6 high torque mini servos for the wings, 2-3 standard servos for the tail and landing gear, and a regular receiver.
